RCBL Welcomes 2021 Media and Intern Staff

Leyton Pullin

​Leyton is returning again this season. A Sophmore at Bridgewater College majoring in Communication, Technology, and Culture. Leyton comes to the RCBL with two years’ experience with the Valley Baseball League and has also served as the PA Announcer at Wilson Memorial High School for three years. Leyton is also a member of the tennis team at Bridgewater College. He is excited to get to work again with a league with such a rich history as the RCBL.

Olivia Carson

Olivia just recently graduated from Bridgewater College with a degree in Communications Technology and Culture. She spent two years involved in Bridgewater's club news organization, writing sports articles and during her senior year worked with the Colleges Athletic Media Relations Department. Olivia played women's Lacrosse all four years while at Bridgewater. Looking to pursue a career in Media Relations and she is very excited to work with RCBL!

Dean Barker

Dean Barker is a recent graduate of Bridgewater College, where he majored in professional writing and minored in communications. Born and raised in Williamsburg, Dean played baseball through high school. While at Bridgewater, he wrote sports for BC Voice, the school newspaper, and was the sports editor his senior year.

Kirk Messick

Kirk, a Broadway native and Bridgewater College graduate joins the intern staff as an RCBL veteran. He is currently a PE teacher at Cub Run Elementary and is finishing up his master's in Sports Administration from Arkansas State University. Kirk has been a player/coach in the RCBL for the past 18 years as a member of the Broadway Bruins and currently the New Market Shockers. When not at the baseball field he enjoys spending time with his wife and three kids.
