Calen Owens Named Week 6 RCBL Player of the Week

Stuarts Draft Diamondbacks infielder Calen Owens was named Week 6 RCBL Player of the Week. Owens had twelve hits, six RBIs and a home run during week six. Coach Les Sandridge said “Calen has been working hard in the cage and making adjustments.”

RCBL Shockers pitcher Kirk Messick was an honorable mention, getting two wins on Saturday, July 1 against the Montezuma Braves after driving eight hours from Myrtle Beach. Messick retired his one and only batter faced in the first game and pitched a complete game shutout with just four hits in the second game.
